Leading the cast once again is Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who reprises his role as the sharp and determined Inspector Jatil Yadav. The film also features Chitrangada Singh, Rajat Kapoor, Deepti Naval, Ila Arun, Revathy, Akhilendra Mishra, Priyanka Setia, Sanjay Kapoor, and Radhika Apte, bringing together an impressive ensemble of talent.

Set a few years after the events of the 2020 original, Raat Akeli Hai: The Bansal Murders follows Inspector Jatil Yadav as he becomes involved in a chilling new case that exposes hidden truths and deep-rooted family secrets. As the investigation progresses, Jatil finds himself confronting his own beliefs about justice and morality. The original film was praised for its gripping narrative, atmospheric tone, and strong performances. The sequel aims to build on that foundation, offering a darker, more layered story that delves deeper into Jatil’s world and psyche.

The film will have its world premiere at the 56th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa this November, ahead of its global release on Netflix.

Speaking about returning to the role, Nawazuddin Siddiqui said that Jatil Yadav remains one of his most personal characters — flawed, restless, yet deeply committed to uncovering the truth. “In Raat Akeli Hai: The Bansal Murders, Jatil faces a case that challenges everything he stands for. Smita and Honey have created a world that feels raw and real, where every clue hides a secret. Coming back as Jatil Yadav feels like returning to unfinished business. I’m grateful to RSVP, MacGuffin Pictures, and Netflix for allowing me to explore new layers of this character,” he shared.

With its nuanced storytelling, gripping tension, and powerful performances, Raat Akeli Hai: The Bansal Murders continues the legacy of the original film while setting new benchmarks for Indian crime thrillers. The film is directed by Honey Trehan and produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Honey Trehan, and Abhishek Chaubey, with Pashan Jal serving as associate producer and Smita Singh as the writer.

Raat Akeli Hai: The Bansal Murders is coming soon, only on Netflix.
